400KV Guyed steel lattice tower
Guyed towers are utilized to achieve the maximum in elevation and loading at an economical cost. The addition of heavier braced sections and torque arm guy points allow a tower to be engineered custom to its loading specifications. Guyed tower can withstand high tension or wind loading during power transmission lines.
MEGATRO provide Series 400KV Guyed Lattice Tower &Masts at a much lower material cost than self supporting towers due to the efficient use of steel guy lines, The guyed lattice masts are normally guyed in three directions equally spaced 120 degrees apart over an anchor radius of typically 2/3 of the tower height, The mast construction consists of triangular lattice modular section, each module fully welded tubular leg and solid round bar bracing incorporating integral step rungs fabricated into the lattice framework on one face this removes the need for a separate ladder. all masts sections are hot dipped galvanized after fabrication. Mast heights range 9 up to 50 meters, these masts can also be Etched primed and powder coated as an optional extra if required
Since 2004, MEGATRO has been manufacturing every type of lattice transmission tower & tapered steel poles for utility applications. MEGATRO pioneered the development of transmission tower, telecom tower, substation, and other steel structure and was also at the forefront in the design of Transmission tower. MEGATRO has a complete staff of professional engineering personnel trained in the PLS Pole program and three different manufacturing processes for producing steel towers, poles and other supports. We utilize the latest versions of PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, TOWER, AutoCAD and other CAD software.
MEGATRO is one of the few manufactures who assemble a face of 400KV guyed steel lattice tower. This attention to quality may not be the cheapest process but it does insure every tower meets our high standards of quality. And it helps to reduce on-site construction cost due to mismatched assemblies. MEGATRO 400KV guyed steel lattice tower systems can accommodate a variety of cross-arm and other accessories. After fabrication 400KV guyed steel lattice tower are delivered to the galvanizing facility to be Hot DIP Galvanized. Towers are processed through the facility by Caustic Cleaning, Pickling, and then Fluxing. These strict procedures insure years of maintenance free towers. Even we take secondary finish for client again, which as duplex surface treatment.

Before 1940 they were used as transmission towers especially for short and medium wave, occasionally lattice towers consisting of wood were utilized. The tallest wooden lattice tower was at Mühlacker. It had a height of 190 metres and was built in 1934 and demolished in 1945. Most wood lattice towers were demolished before 1960. In Germany the last big radio towers consisting of wood were the transmission towers of the Golm transmitter and the transmitter Ismaning. They were demolished in 1979 and 1983 respectively.
The tallest lattice tower is the Kiev TV Tower, with a height of 385 meters.
Overview GLW55
The mast can be built inheights from 0 to 110m in most regions & is ideal for wind monitoring applications.
This mast section has an inbuilt ladder on all three faces making it very strong and very user friendly when climbing and installing. This also allows for greater flexibility when fitting antenna equipment etc.
The section lengths have been designed at a length and weight which is easy to man handle, on the ground during transport and during installation.
The sections are Galvanized as standard but can also be over-coated in paint to suit any requirements.
The SL40GM Series Guyed Lattice Masts can provide height at a much lower material cost than self supporting towers due to the efficient use of steel guy lines, The guyed lattice masts are normally guyed in three directions equally spaced 120 degrees apart over an anchor radius of typically 2/3 of the tower height, The mast construction consists of 3.05 metre triangular lattice modular section, each module being 380mm face width fully welded tubular leg and solid round bar bracing incorporating integral step rungs fabricated into the lattice framework on one face this removes the need for a separate ladder. all masts sections are hot dipped galvanised after fabrication.
Mast heights range 9 up to 50 metres.
These masts can also be Etched primed and powder coated as an optional extra if required
