MEGATRO have a standard range of Lattice Towers to all our customers, which have three-legged, four-legged or every types to serve single circuit, double circuit, multi circuit, substation steelworks and other application. MEGATRO manufacture various types of Lattice Towers from slender single user options to large multi user switch structures. The types of construction fall into three broad categories; Angle Tower, Solid Rod Tower and Tubular Tower.
Lattice towers typically provide a more flexible solution compared to monopoles. Some of the benefits are the easy addition of additional antennas, flexibility in the feeder installation and good access to the telecoms equipment.
Tubular towers are ideal when you have a requirement to support large equipment loads at high levels. Made from structurally efficient tubes, the towers can be hand built and have a wide range of cross-arms, mountings and other accessories are available. We can provide these towers at various heights up to 240 meters depending on the location.
After fabrication all towers are delivered to the galvanizing facility to be Hot DIP Galvanized. Towers are processed through the facility by Caustic Cleaning, Pickling, and then Fluxing. These strict procedures insure years of maintenance free towers.

Angle Lattice Towers
Angle towers are one of the most economic solutions available. Manufactured automatically by our state of the art CNC machines here in Gloucester, they are extremely quick to produce. Made from individual bolted elements, these structures are ideal for hand build sites and when supplied piece small, a complete tower occupies a low volume, which makes this type of tower ideal for shipping.
Towers can be supplied to account for future extendibility both in height and additional users. Other benefits include easy inspection and maintenance as corrosion of any elements will be clearly visible and can be easily treated.
Solid Rod Lattice Towers
Solid bar towers combine slim, low impact solutions with good load carrying capabilities. The fully welded modules enable rapid installation of towers on site. For example, a tower up to 30 metres can be installed in a single day.
Tubular Lattice Towers
Tubular towers are ideal when you have a requirement to support large equipment loads at high levels. Made from structurally efficient tubes, the towers can be hand built and have a wide range of antenna mountings and work platforms are available. We can provide these towers at various heights up to 135 metres depending on the location and can be provided with up to 8 decks and the ability to house up to 70 dishes or 200 feeders.
A transmission tower (colloquially termed an electricity pylon in the United Kingdom and parts of Europe, and a hydro tower in English Canada) is a tall structure, usually a steel lattice tower, used to support an overhead power line. They are used in high-voltage AC and DC systems, and come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes. Typical height ranges from 15 to 55 metres (49 to 180 ft),[1] though the tallest are the 370 m (1,214 ft) towers of a 2700-metre-long span of Zhoushan Island Overhead Powerline Tie. In addition to steel, other materials may be used, including concrete and wood.
There are four major categories of transmission towers:[1] suspension, terminal, tension, and transposition. Some transmission towers combine these basic functions. Transmission towers and their overhead power lines are often considered to be a form of visual pollution. Methods to reduce the visual effect include undergrounding.
Angular Towers are either 3 or 4 Legged angular self-supporting towers. Angular Towers are generally constructed with various angle sizes for heights ranging from 45 m to 106 m. These structures are engineered and fabricated to accommodate heavy duty loading imposed by the attachment of microwave dishes and the mounting of sector antennas. Besides these, the towers are formulated to house a variety of accessories which include platforms, antenna bracket, lighting system, Climbing Ladder, Safety Cage, Cable Ladder, Utility Mounted Poles and etc. The recommended height of this structure is 45 m, 60 m, 91 m and 106 meters and is suitable for single/multiple operator usage such as a Trunk Site.
